Role Overview

Ground Zero is urgently seeking a result-oriented Lead – Fundraising & Partnerships to drive business development, grant acquisition, and strategic engagement across global foundations, Indian corporates (CSR), and individual philanthropists.

This role focuses on expanding sustainable urban and rural livelihood opportunities and nurturing social entrepreneurship across India. The ideal candidate combines strong network connections, compelling proposal-writing skills, and expertise in multi-channel communications to secure new funding, steward donor relationships, and manage high-level partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

• Partnership Development & Fundraising: Build and manage strategic partnerships with global foundations, Indian corporates, CSR entities, and individual philanthropists to generate sustainable revenue streams.
• Proposal Writing & Documentation: Lead end-to-end proposal development, crafting customized funding pitches, concept notes, grant applications, briefing papers, and presentation materials.
• Donor Stewardship & Networking: Build strong, long-term relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders, coordinating meetings and ensuring regular reporting and donor retention.
• Communications & Social Media: Support content and communication strategies across social media platforms (such as X/Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram) to highlight program impact and amplify fundraising efforts.
• Event Logistical & Admin Support: Provide administrative and logistical coordination for conferences, workshops, retreats, donor meetings, and external events.
• Knowledge Management: Contribute field insights, donor feedback, and data to internal knowledge management and learning initiatives.

Qualifications & Candidate Profile

• Education: Bachelor's degree is mandatory. A Master's degree in Business Administration, Social Work (MSW), Development Studies, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience: 5–6 years of relevant experience in fundraising, partnership development, proposal writing, donor relations, or social sector growth.
• Network & Domain Knowledge: Demonstrated background working with CSR frameworks, global foundations, or social entrepreneurship ecosystem actors.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with experience developing content for proposals, presentations, and social media.
• Language & Location: Professional fluency in English is required; knowledge of Marathi is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates based in Mumbai/Maharashtra or ready to relocate immediately are preferred.
• Joining Timeline: High priority for candidates who can take ownership quickly and join within 30 days.
